Tokoname ware, from Aichi Prefecture, is one of Japan’s oldest ceramic traditions, with over 900 years of history. It’s best known for its teapots (kyusu) made from natural clay - rich in red and black tones, that enhance the flavour of tea over time. Each piece is shaped with care for smooth pouring and good heat retention, reflecting the timeless craftsmanship of Japan’s Six Ancient Kilns.
