Shaped like a penguin sliding on the ice, this Arita Ware chopstick rest features smooth curves and a glossy blue glaze that fades softly into white on the belly. It holds your chopsticks neatly in place.

About Arita Ware (有田焼)

Arita ware (有田焼) is Japan’s first porcelain, made for over 400 years in Arita, Saga Prefecture. It’s made from fine white clay and fired at a high temperature of about 1,300°C, which makes it light, strong, and smooth. Many pieces are hand-painted with blue or colourful designs, giving them a clean and elegant look. Arita porcelain became popular around the world in the 1600s and is still loved today for its beauty, quality, and everyday use.
