A hand-painted Arita ware round plate, finished in soft indigo tones.
Part of the Fukuichigo (lucky strawberry) series, this plate features a hand-painted strawberry motif at the centre and a detailed indigo patterned rim. The strawberry seeds and stems are finished with an itchin technique, where slip is applied in fine raised lines to create subtle texture.
Each piece is painted by hand, so slight variations may occur.
With its gently curved shape and depth, this plate is ideal for salads, small meals, brunch plates, or desserts.
Small speckles or glaze variations may appear. These are natural characteristics of the material and firing process.
Made in Arita, Japan.
