A large hand-painted Hasami ware cup by Ichimugama (一夢窯), decorated in cobalt blue with Japanese landscape scenes, boats, birds, waves and geometric patterns. The decoration continues around the exterior and inside the rim.

The design is called Neji Sansui (捻山水). Neji refers to the cup’s gently twisted shape, while sansui means “mountain and water,” referring to the traditional landscape imagery.

Three soft indentations around the cylindrical body provide natural resting points for the fingers and make the large cup comfortable to hold.

With a generous 440ml capacity, it can be used for tea, coffee, cold drinks or sake.

Each cup is individually painted, so variations in brushwork, colour and detailing may occur.

Made in Nagasaki Prefecture, Japan.

What made you choose this product? wanted to try yame matcha and this product had a good price - it would be a daily drink for me so the best before wasnt a concern
