A Japanese ceramic rice bowl featuring a fan-shaped motif, hand-painted in soft indigo tones with a smooth glossy finish. Slightly larger than a standard rice bowl, it offers a more generous size for everyday use.
Perfect for serving rice, ochazuke, or smaller portions of noodles and salads. It also works well for soups or simple one-bowl meals.
The fan motif is created using the itchin technique, with each line hand-painted by the artisan, forming a gentle raised texture that brings the design to life.
In Japan, the fan (扇) symbolises good fortune and growth, as its shape spreads outward - representing prosperity and a bright future.
Made in Hasami, Japan.
Each piece is handcrafted, so slight variations in colour, glaze, and detailing may occur. Small speckles or glaze variations are natural characteristics of the material and firing process.
