A low, wide Hasami ware kyusu teapot featuring red cherry blossoms over a white brushstroke-style glaze. Brown accents around the rim and handle add contrast to the simple floral design.

Hake Sakura (刷毛桜) refers to a brushstroke cherry blossom design, while hira kyusu (平急須) describes the teapot’s low, flat shape. The wide body gives loose tea leaves room to open while steeping.

With a capacity of approximately 250ml, it is suitable for preparing one or two servings of Japanese tea.

Made in Nagasaki Prefecture, Japan.

Subtle variations in colour, texture, shape and decorative detailing may occur, reflecting the natural character of Japanese pottery.

Due to the nature of pottery, there may be differences in colour, size, weight, etc., depending on the kiln and temperature conditions.

This product may have glaze drips (traces of glaze that have been applied to the vessel) or uneven colouring. This is normal and part of what makes each piece unique.
