A Hasami ware small dish plate, available in two colours: deep indigo and soft celadon, featuring a delicate hana (flower) motif.
The design is created using the itchin technique, where slip is applied in fine raised lines to form the petals and details, adding a subtle texture that you can both see and feel. Set against the glaze, the gentle contrast highlights the beauty of the motif in each colour.
Each piece is finished by hand, so slight variations may occur.
At 10.5 cm, this small plate is perfect for sauces, dips, or condiments such as soy sauce, vinegar, or chilli oil. It also works well for small sides like pickles, olives, or a few bites of tamagoyaki. For something sweet, it’s just right for mochi, fruit, or a small treat alongside tea.
It also doubles beautifully as a trinket dish for your everyday jewellery.
Small speckles or glaze variations may appear. These are natural characteristics of the material and firing process.
