A Imari ware dessert cup, shaped in a delicate floral form and finished in soft indigo and warm rust tones.
Featuring a traditional chrysanthemum motif at the centre, the design is created using classic sometsuke (blue underglaze) techniques. The gently scalloped rim, accented with a warm “rust” edge, adds contrast and enhances the overall elegance of the piece.
Each piece may show slight variations, reflecting the nature of the production process.
Perfect for desserts, from a scoop of ice cream topped with mint or a biscuit to yogurt with fresh fruit. It also works beautifully for small side dishes such as blanched greens or octopus and cucumber salad.
Small speckles or glaze variations may appear. These are natural characteristics of the material and firing process.
Made in Japan.
