This stunning yunomi (Japanese tea cup) is handcrafted using traditional Kutani-yaki techniques, and features one of the most iconic artworks in Japanese history: The Great Wave off Kanagawa by Hokusai.
"The Great Wave off Kanagawa first painted in the 1830s by Edo-period artist Katsushika Hokusai (葛飾北斎), this powerful scene was part of his famous Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji (富嶽三十六景) series. The collection captured Japan’s beloved Mt. Fuji from different locations, seasons, and weather - but The Great Wave stood out. It shows a massive, curling wave crashing toward small boats, while Mt. Fuji sits quietly in the background - calm, unmoved, eternal.
It’s a dramatic moment frozen in time, often seen as a symbol of nature’s strength, the fragility of life, and the balance between chaos and calm. Even today, it still speaks to people around the world."
Each cup is carefully glazed and hand-painted, so no two are exactly the same. Whether you’re sipping tea, coffee, or something stronger, this yunomi adds a little artistry to your daily ritual.

After ordering the beautiful little teapot and using it everyday since receiving, I tend to look for your other items.
After seeing the beige salad serving or eating sized plates I decided to buy them.
I am not at all disappointed in my new plates.
We use them most days and it makes a meal look that extra luxurious.
great mug and great service
A good size cup for when I fancy a tisane, rather than green tea.
This is a lovely little bowl. Not sure what I'll use it for just yet, but the cat is so sweet
