A small Japanese yunomi teacup featuring a hand-painted rice plant motif, known in Japanese as Ine-e (稲絵).

Perfect for enjoying Japanese green tea, hojicha, or other warm drinks. Its gently curved shape sits comfortably in the hand.

This cup is made using yakishime, a traditional technique in which clay is fired slowly at a high temperature without an overall glaze. The natural colour and texture of the clay are shaped by the flame and ash inside the kiln, giving every piece its own unique appearance. Over time, the surface may develop a deeper, softer sheen through use.

Each design is painted individually by hand, making every cup one of a kind.
Made in Japan.

Each piece is handcrafted, so variations in colour, texture, shape, and painted detailing may occur. These differences are part of the natural character of yakishime pottery.
