A gently roasted green tea powder from Yame, Fukuoka, with a light, toasty aroma, soft caramel sweetness, and comforting warmth.


KAHO is smooth, mellow, and easy to enjoy - perfect for straight brews, iced hōjicha, or creamy lattes. Its roasted character and low caffeine make it an ideal everyday drink, morning or evening.

Recommended Use

Straight (Highly Recommended): Enjoy hot or iced for a gentle, roasted aroma and soft sweetness.

Latte Grade: Beautifully balanced with milk, creating a caramel-like depth and creamy texture.

Culinary: Excellent for desserts, ice cream, and baking, adding a roasted, nutty warmth.

How to Drink Houjicha Straight (Hot or Iced)

Use 2 – 4 g (≈ 2 - 4 chasaku) of houjicha.
Stir or whisk with 80 – 90 °C water (150ml water)

How to Make Houjicha Latte

Use 2 – 4 g (≈ 2 - 4 chasaku) of houjicha.
Stir or whisk with 80 – 90 °C water.
Add milk (dairy, oat, or soy) to taste.
Optional: Sweeten with honey or brown sugar for a cozy, caramel-like latte.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place away from light and moisture.
Refrigeration is recommended even before opening.
